Salesforce opens job site through Trailhead platform

Salesforce partner companies now have access to the Trailblazer Career Marketplace, a job site connected to Salesforce’s Trailhead learning platform, the company announced Thursday.

In the marketplace, job seekers can turn on “career mode” to showcase their Trailblazer profile, which shows relevant Salesforce experience as well as work history, skills and credentials earned. Job seekers can then filter and search companies in the Salesforce ecosystem.

Similarly, hiring employers can use “candidate search” to find those who have activated career mode and can filter searches by desired skills, experience or certifications. Employers can also create their own profiles to showcase open roles and various media, according to the announcement.

While the platform is open to all job seekers, only Salesforce partner employers can currently access the marketplace.

“We know there is demand for data, AI, and CRM skills and it’s our mission to help empower anyone to build a career within the Salesforce ecosystem,” Ann Weeby, SVP of Trailhead, said in a statement.

Salesforce is the latest big name to enter the job site market, which has recently pivoted to a stronger focus on skill-based hiring. Indeed, one of the bigger job boards in the space, launched Skill Connect in May, which focuses on helping job seekers promote their skills and obtain training through Indeed partners. And in March, SkillUp Coalition announced a career platform specifically angled toward nondegree talent to connect trained workers with “high-opportunity jobs.”

X, formerly known as Twitter, also recently opened its job search function to all users; Elon Musk positioned the platform as a direct competitor to LinkedIn.
