5 people killed after Amazon cargo plane overruns runway

“We’re heartbroken to learn that five people lost their lives in today’s incident at Miami International Airport,” said Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel in a statement.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to the families, loved ones, and all those affected by this devastating loss.”
Prime Air Flight 7598 is operated by 21 Air, an all-cargo airline of the United States. The Federal Aviation Administration said it is a Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft that departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The FAA said it will investigate the case. A separate statement from Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said it is leading the death investigation and is working closely with local and federal partners.
Amazon, meanwhile, pledged cooperation to the probe.
